The Players are having a film night social as a get together with our friends and supporters before our next production in the Autumn.

The Ballad of Wallis Island (15) follows Charles an eccentric lottery winner who lives alone on a remote island and dreams of getting his favourite musicians, Mortimer-McGwyer back together. His fantasy quickly turns into reality when the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation to play a private show at his home on Wallis Island. Old tensions resurface as Charles tries desperately to salvage his dream gig.

Starring Tim Key, Carey Mulligan and Tom Basden this is a funny, but quietly life affirming film that we hope you’ll really enjoy.
‘A Fresh Big Hearted Comedy’ The Wall Street Journal
'A sublime, adorable comedy" Roger Ebert
Featuring a wonderful soundtrack of original folk-pop songs it’s a great follow up to the recent Open Mic evening which was enjoyed by so many of you. And for those of you who didn’t come to our last film night, it is incredible to see how Henry Desmond manages to transform the village hall into an authentic cinema experience!
The bar (for drinks and popcorn) will open at 7pm, film at 8pm.
Running time is 1hour 40mins.
Tickets £7 from ticketsource.co.uk/shorehamvillageplayers
We hope to see many of you there and feel free to bring your friends.
